SYMI ISLAND TOUR
This is a great tour which can
conveniently depart from either the northern or the southern side of
Rhodes Island. For the southern departure, you'll travel by coach to
Mandraki Harbor in Rhodes town, then start a two-hour cruise along
the Turkish coastline until reaching the lovely, unspoiled island of
Symi.
The first stop of the day is at the peaceful haven of Panormitis.
We'll visit the 12th Century monastery, then continue cruising
around the island toward Symi Town. Spectacular views include the
pastel-colored neoclassical houses balancing precariously on the
hillside, as we sail into the horseshoe-shaped harbor of Symi Town.
We'll explore the tiny winding, cobbled streets of the town, and
stop at shops which feature spices, sponges, and souvenirs galore.
For departures from the northern side of the island, the first stop
at Symi will be Symi Town
